If you get a piece of gear from a full clear, going back to do another run with just two corrupted areas will give you no gear, just mementos. You can't get more than one reward per tier per week. I was so furious that It just ate my 10k essences and left me high and dry for something totally out of my control.
CAPSTER KEEP RUNNING UPGRADE
I had this same thing happen to me- not my internet, server side, dc'd me and i lost my reward for the cloak upgrade as I came back (30 sec later mind you.) and was already dead. They could have lowered the cost of entry but added a limit on weekly rewards, making any runs over that limit not worth it (except for training purposes). Right now they are trying to address the issue by adding one attempt per week, but I think it's a rather weak band-aid.
In this case, in addition to the immediate consumption of the needed item, the cost of entry is steep and your attempts per week are pretty much hard capped. It was not a huge deal with the Mage tower challenges, because the cost of entry was pretty low: you would just shrug it and try again.
I've heard reports of Demon Hunters getting disconnected when they use Fel Rush and ther bugs. Yesterday, I got disconnected inside a Horrific Vision (my internet connection was fine, I am pretty sure this was a server-side bug) before I could even reach the last boss of the Valley of Spirits. I think they are trying to lessen the impact of their decision to consume the vessel as soon as you enter a horrific vision. I think you might want to get a little bit of perspective. My brand new alt played for about five minutes, and went from a rank 1 neck to 60. If u haven't noticed they won't do that they don't want u playing alts this xpac and it shows Comment by Skygubbins on T13:15:39-06:00ĭefinitely a great change! Hopefully, they can make the AP account-wide to make alts more viable in this expansion. That makes failing one a lot less painful, and makes playing conservatively a more viable option. The big benefit (for me) is that now there's a good chance of being able to fit in at least one more vision attempt each week. If you don’t have the time then I don’t blame you for quitting but in no world is this change a bad thing Obviously you won’t get the rep but it doesn’t sound like you were doing them in the first place. This change is great to help ppl catch up on alts or after failing vision runs or to do extra visions for fun (and yes eventually sockets). The system was designed with the original numbers and you won’t get behind if you skip them due to the cloak upgrade cap. I doubt I can/should convince you otherwise but the dailies are still optional. Call me back when they sack Ion Hazzicostas!
CAPSTER KEEP RUNNING PATCH
The increase to the daily rewards was just enough for me to quit this game.Was already stressed to find time to do everything without doing the 6 daily quests and I was happy that for ONCE the last 3 years we had a patch with minimal grind. In addition, with Coalescing Visions being massively increased on dailies, this means that you can get an additional Horrific Vision run in a week if you do all your dailies. This will made the rank 3 Essences that require Exalted reputation (such as Breath of the Dying take a little less time to get.
